| HISTORY |
Opened
in 1912, the school is the oldest secondary state school in Queensland
and the only secondary school in the town.
The original administration block, heritage listed, and library have
been refurbished and other teaching blocks are relatively new. School
resources have developed well. All facilities are in good condition
and well maintained.
The school is very well supported by the community in a broad range
of ways.
Community involvement is encouraged via fortnightly newsletters,
regular personal communication with parents, BEACON program and mandated
community involvement in curriculum implementation.
